Tyler Byrnes
Polygraphic Productions Director

Born and raised near the Rust Belt city of Buffalo, NY, Byrnes brings such working-class and industrial influences to his films. In 2010 he moved to New York City to attend the Macaulay Honors program at Hunter College, where he graduated with a B.A. in film production and studies. NYC saw his characters confined to compact, labyrinthine apartments, reflecting themes of repression and evasion, most often featuring queer subjects. His industrial influences surfaced most in his latest short film, "Breakfast", where the frustrations and anxieties over suffering from an eating disorder manifest as industrial tubing and plastic.
